For those interested in the livestream on YouTube. 227 souls who are care enough about Qualcomm. 😂

Maybe this could be added to the article? It’s the official stream from the “Qualcomm Snapdragon” channel. I wonder if AMD should make an EPYC YouTube channel or Intel a Core i9 channel.

Can I get ARM laptop, that supports Linux? Not interested in Windows with no software.

With no software? Did you miss the part about Win32 programs being supported?

    $599 for a 2-in-1 with a Snapdragon 835, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB UFS 2.0... That's way too high.
  • IntelUser2000 - Tuesday, December 5, 2017 - link

    It's partially Microsoft's fault.

MS doesn't seem to realize part of the problem lies with them. For the Windows Atom Tablet to reach $200 price range they had to put out special Windows versions that cost almost nothing to the manufacturer.
  • ikjadoon - Tuesday, December 5, 2017 - link

Shoulda been $599 for 8GB/128GB and $699 for 8GB/256GB. *That* would've moved a lot of units, IMO: Chromebook battery life with i5 performance in day-to-day tasks.
  • HStewart - Tuesday, December 5, 2017 - link

I would think that they are trying compare it Samsung S3 and S4 which probably will be 845 based not 835. the Windows on ARM devices should be competitor to S3 and possibly S4, as long as user stays away from x86 applications.

It will be better alternate than Android - because you will be able to run a full version of Office - so if primary purpose in compute is Office and Internet applications then the device will fit you needs.
  • ikjadoon - Tuesday, December 5, 2017 - link

Yes, that 64GB is just too low. It honestly should've been 128GB--we're not into "storage", but if you're offering x86 compatibility (which will re-compile x86 into ARM on first-run), you need to offer more storage.

Hoping Lenovo is more sensible about pricing.
